Is transplanted hair permanent?
Yes, the transplanted hair is not programmed to fall out. Therefore, hair placed in balding areas will keep its native characteristics and remain permanently.
Can I have someone else's hair transplanted?
No, because your body would reject it.
How many hairs survive?
When hair transplant is performed correctly, more than 95% of grafted hair should be maintained in most cases.
Does it look natural?
Yes, the development of micro- and follicular-unit grafts allows us to achieve an undetectably, natural result.
It won't look like a corn rows, right?
No. The old "pluggy" look is the thing of the past. We use modern techniques to recreate naturally looking hair. Remember, a good hair transplant is undetectable.
Am I going to have enough hair?
It depends on your donor hair and the stage of your hair loss. Nevertheless, our technique is unique in the ability to attain optimal hair density.
Are there any visible scars?
There are no visible scars around the transplanted hair. In the donor there will be a tiny line hidden in your hair, only noticeable if you shave your hair completely.
How long it will take for me to recover?
Less than 24 hours. After one night of sleep you are in a physical shape to resume most of your daily activities.
Does it hurt?
No, we use a gentle technique and specially formulated anesthetic medication that make the procedure painless.
Am I put asleep?
We give you sedation so you are relaxed. You will enjoy watching television or a movie during the procedure or opt to fall asleep if you so desire.
Can I drive home?
In order receive sedation, we recommend that you arrange transportation home. Some of our patients opt for no sedation and thereby may drive after the procedure. It is your choice.
Do I have a bandage?
Our technique does not require any bandages afterwards. After the procedure, you leave the clinic with your hair styled just the same way as when you arrived.
When can I wash my hair?
You can wash your hair as soon as the following day after the procedure.
When can I go back to work?
It depends on the type of your work. Office work can be performed the next day.
When can I resume my physical training?
We recommend that you avoid strenuous activities for a week in order to prevent any accidental injury or bleeding. We also advise you to listen to your body and return to an exercise regimen when you are ready.
Can others notice I had a surgery?
Right after the surgery you will have some tiny scabbing in the transplanted area for 5 to 7 days but the scabs can be concealed with your existing hair or hidden by wearing a cap.
Can I wear a hat/cap?
Yes, you can put it on as soon as after the procedure.
When do I see my hair grow?
It takes 2 to 3 months for transplanted hair to start growing. After 5 months you'll be able to style your new hair.
When can I use Rogaine/Propecia?
We recommend that you stop use of Rogaine two days prior to the procedure and resume 7 days afterwards. You may simply continue Propecia without interruption.
When can I go in the sun?
We recommend that you protect your head from prolonged, direct sun exposure for a period of 3 months after the surgery.
