As a studious observer of celebrity hair transplants, I remember a couple of years ago looking at Matt Lauer conducting an interview in which his bald crown was exposed.

The area known as the posterior lateral hump (side temporal hair) has fallen since his previous hair transplant away from his vertex transition zone (the point where the hair in the posterior midscalp meets the crown) so that the transplant in the vertex transition zone no longer looks natural.

This is a very subtle point that most observers of the interview would simply not have noticed. This is not like an artificial hairline or a fake looking hair transplant that is obvious to most viewers. However, the pattern is unnatural when viewed from an oblique view or from the back of his head. All he needs are a few grafts in this area and his result would be natural again at least from the prescribed angles mentioned above.
