Dr. Lam has written and edited the only book series on hair transplant ever written. He also designed the entire book series including all elements of graphic design, page layout, book dividers, end pages, etc.

Volume 1 (2nd Edition): This book written by Dr. Sam Lam is in its second edition. It is intended for physicians who are planning to start a career in hair transplant or are early in their career as a hair surgeon. This book covers all of the basic knowledge and techniques that a hair-transplant surgeon should know. The explanations and techniques focus on a very practical level with step-by-step descriptions of the techniques that Dr. Lam uses for his patients. The second edition also covers how Dr. Lam uses regenerative medicine to enhance hair-transplant results including platelet-rich plasma (PRP), ACell, HypoThermosol, and liposomal ATP. In this second edition, Dr. Lam has extensively revised and doubled the content from the first edition. All books are lavishly illustrated and have extensive online videos that accompany them.

Volume 2 (2nd Edition): This book written by Dr. Emina Karamanovski Vance is in its second edition as well. This is the only book ever written for hair-transplant surgical assistants. It covers a full gamut of topics for the hair assistant including practical clinical training, interviewing potential hires, critical thinking, quality control, identifying problems, techniques, complications, and teamwork. In the second edition, Dr. Vance has extensively revised and doubled the content from the first edition. All books are lavishly illustrated and have extensive online videos that accompany them.

Volume 3: This book is the largest textbook ever written on the subject of hair transplant and is edited by Dr. Lam. This book is an international compilation that covers a myriad of advanced surgical topics and includes numerous difficult case studies as well. There is a section dedicated to surgical assistant training written by numerous esteemed assistants in the field of hair surgery and represents the only book on this subject. In addition, there are multiple chapters dedicated to developing a hair transplant business including marketing, leadership, corporate, and private practices, which is also an industry first.
