Hair Transplant Cost Dallas

Many people are concerned with hair transplant cost and often have a number of questions related to hair transplant costs, especially as they compare to other types of hair restoration options. Two of the most frequently asked questions I receive are, “how much does a hair transplant cost?” and “how much do you charge per graft”?

The answer is not that simple to answer, however, which usually puzzles my patients to no end.

Why is it not easy to provide a blanket cost of hair transplant surgery by type or at least provide the average cost of hair transplant surgery based on the cost per graft?

Here’s why…

First of all, what defines a graft? Is it a 1-hair graft, a 4-hair graft or a di-follicular unit that can contain 6 hairs in a single graft? Should these all be counted the same? What about if two 1-hair grafts are placed into a single site for denser packing – should that be counted as a single graft or as two grafts? And what if you have several hundred more grafts than anticipated – should you be charged more money at the end of the procedure or should the grafts just be thrown away?

These are just some of the questions to consider when determining the cost of a hair transplant, and as you can see, it’s difficult to exactly define hair transplantation cost based on charging someone on a per graft basis.

The reality is that when answering the question “how much does hair transplant cost?” there are a number of factors that must be considered. Each patient is unique, and consequently, the cost for hair transplant will vary from patient to patient.
